Detail: http://zenith.homelinux.net/cotc/viewcase.php?cfj=2837 =================== CFJ 2837 (Interest Index = 0) ==================== On or about 00:00 August 19, Wooble was awarded a Leadership Token due to the shuttle being destroyed. ======================================================================== Caller: Tiger Judge: coppro Judgement: FALSE ======================================================================== History: Called by Tiger: 19 Aug 2010 22:06:26 GMT Assigned to coppro: 22 Aug 2010 12:15:12 GMT Judged FALSE by coppro: 26 Aug 2010 18:35:31 GMT ======================================================================== Caller's Arguments: Uh, yeah, the shuttle is in a wormhole right now. It has been warped and disappeared, but I think that was deemed to mean destroyed. So, yeah, wooble probably just won. We have omd to thank for firing the laser cannon whose recoil caused the shuttle to shoot backwards. ======================================================================== Caller's Evidence: Part of R2300: Heavy Laser Cannon (1) - Causes 6 damage to the closest object with a position between 1 and 9 greater than that of the Shuttle. The player pushing this button may choose to push it harder, which increses the Charge cost by 1, the damage caused by 3, and causes the Shuttle to reduce its position by one. Doing this when it causes the ship to have the same position as another object is the class-1 crime of Hoisting One's Own Petard. Part of R2299 If the Shuttle reaches the end of the journey and is warped, each player aboard the Shuttle is rewarded a farad. If the Shuttle is destroyed, the Enemy is rewarded a Leadership Token and can only initiate the next journey with three support (anyone else still only needs notice). Part of R2297: An object's position must be between 0 and the position of the second wormhole. Any object that finds itself outside of this area or on a wormhole is warped and disappears. ======================================================================== Gratuitous Arguments by coppro: R2299 says "If the Shuttle reaches the end of the journey and is warped." The definition of end here is very confusing, however, based on the use of "start of the journey" in the preceeding paragraph, it makes most sense to interpret it temporally, rather than spatially. Therefore, the statement should really be interpreted as "When the shuttle is warped, the journey ends", which is supported by CFJ 2832. The wormhole in which the shuttle is warped is irrelevant. ======================================================================== Judge coppro's Arguments: I judge FALSE, per my own arguments. ========================================================================
